Unless it is an emergency, please take reasonable steps to determine if the animal’s owner is available, particularly if it is a cat. Check with your neighbours to ensure that the cat does not belong to them. If an owner is available they will need to take the cat to their own vet.
If no owner can be traced, or if the animal needs urgent veterinary attention, call the RSPCA Clinic staff on 0117 9724567 to arrange for us to take the animal in. (Outside normal working hours, the answer machine message will tell you how to contact duty staff.)
Please note – The Bristol Clinic does not have an ambulance so we cannot collect animals. If you are unable to transport the injured or ill animal you have found to the Clinic, please call the National RSPCA Helpline on 0300 1234 999, who may be able to send an Animal Collection Officer.
