Volunteering > Dog Walking

Dog Walking can no longer be carried out at the Dogs Home on a casual basis.

You are now required to attend an induction in addition to completeing the Volunteer Registration Form, before you can begin dog walking.

If you are interested in walking a dog at the Home, please complete the Volunteer Registration Form (available to download on the left of the screen) to begin the process. You will then be contacted with a date for your induction.

Latest Update: We have now updated our Volunteer Registration form.

If you have already completed a volunteer registration form and a dog walking enrolment form under the old system [before 31st Jan 2012], but have not yet been inducted, please call  0117 9714197 to book onto an induction. Any old forms that are received now will not be valid. Please download the new version from the left of this page.

Induction sessions take place on one Wednesday and one Saturday each month, dependant on demand. Booking is essential.

NB: For security & safety reasons, all registered Dog Walkers must bring their Dog Walker ID with them each time they wish to walk a dog. Replacement of lost ID cards will incur a small charge.
