It’s coming to the end of October and you know what that means…Halloween!! I love seeing the humans dress up for sweets, but please don’t wear anything too spooky as your pet may not be able to recognise you and might become very scared. Also make sure you don’t leave any sweets or chocolate lying around for us to nibble on, as it may not be good for our health.
Talking about being scared; Bonfire night will be here soon and my furry friends and I always get frightened when those lights explode in the sky – fireworks I think they’re called. They make such a loud noise and the flashing lights are really scary! The staff here are great at making us feel safe and happy, but if you have any pets of your own please make sure to shut all the windows and curtains, and keep your pets in a safe and secure place whilst the fireworks are going off. You can find more information by clicking here.
On a more pleasant note, our latest edition of Bristol Animal News will be out shortly. I had a sneaky peak through it and saw some great ideas for Christmas. For a start there are not just Christmas cards for sale this year -there is also a 2015 Desk Calendar featuring some of my friends at the home; watch out for October, he’s a scary fella!
As always, I love chatting to my four-pawed pals at the home, and finding out how they’re getting on with finding new homes. My buddy Dom is desperately looking for a new family since he came in as a stray. His favourite thing in the world is playing fetch with tennis balls, but I have to get the humans to throw the ball as I can’t throw very far. If you want to see Dom, check out our YouTube video. I hope you fall in love with him, just like I have.
Until next time my not-so-furry friends.
